The Project:

The Coffeyville Veterans Memorial Park Association is spearheading a mission to replace the current Court of Valor monument with an array of granite panels that will include the names of 3000+ veterans and the branch logos, Army, Marine, Navy, Airforce, Space Force and Coast Guard. Bottom line is that there are way too many names that should have been on the wall. 

Our committee is in possession of 1383 Burial Flags and of those, 958 names never made it to the existing wall.  There are 662 names on the wall that we do not have a flag for.  We are also soliciting names of area Veterans that want to be on the wall.

There is no requirement regarding our possession of a flag to be on the wall. They were all donated by the family's of the deceased.

Besides the panels, there will be 500 granite pavers 250 on each side that will be placed on both sides of the main walkway.

The new site will be fully ADA compliant with ample parking as well and if donations and grants go well, paved parking with lighting, electricity and water for maintenance and cleaning.

Should we ever exceed 3168 names, then the new monument is designed so that it can be expanded easily.

We will accomplish this with the generosity of Veteran, Citizen and Business donations as well as raffles and applying for grants.
